This pattern was inspired by Vivienne Westwood (suprise, suprise) and Zandra Rhodes, for an A level textiles topic combining culture and tradition. The Tradition was Westwood’s use of draping and shapes that compliment the figure whilst the culture was that of festivals in the style of Rhodes’ love of screen printing! I had so much fun on this project and have a fair few dresses from it. The patterns consisted of a simple corset shape with draped fabric sown in over top! As a meerkat would say…..simples.
