I took inspiration from Miuccia Prada and made a raincoat with Cuben Fiber, an extremely lightweight and resistant waterproof material used in sailmaking and mountaineering, with leftover from a sailing project.
The coat was sewn on the right side with bias binding and then the seams were felled.
I used a modified version of Burda 09/2007 #104 and a hood from McCall’s 2980.
There are some tips about sewing Cuben Fiber on my blog here : http://www.carmencitab.com/2012/05/prada-inspired.html

A great use of available materials. I must look into this fibre. Well executed too. There is a lot of work in this.
