Description

I made this jacket based on a Burda pattern. I followed the instructions word-by-word, but I used a different type of fabric. In the store it looked similar to the one on the picture, but it turned out to be quite different.
When I made the jacket I didn’t like how it looked on me, but I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. My measurements match 100% with Burda’s size 38, so I wouldn’t know what to change in the pattern. In the end I narrowed the sleeves and I like it better now.
I wish I had used more casual and lighter fabric. Somehow, the fabric I buy always looks different at home than in the store when I’m buying it.
Overall, I think it’s a nice project. Not too difficult, apart from sewing the collar. I was sewing such a collar for the first time, and the instructions which came with the pattern were not clear enough. So I had to research that technique separately.
