I did the crocheting part last spring, when the crazy idea of this crocheted cap came in my mind. I stopped when I realised I have no idea how to mount the plastic cap peak. Then I was thinking of adding a lining to the cap, but wasn’t fond of the idea.
Now i was digging my yarn box and found the cap. I ripped apart an old and ugly baseball cap, trimmed the peak a bit shorter and then I hand stitched it under the crocheted one using white cotton thread. The plastic peak had little holes in it from previous stitching, that made the task easier. Then I hot glued a peace of gray denim to hide the stitching.
multi coloured yarn, a cap peak, matching fabric, hot glue

Looks fantastic! Did you have a pattern or simply made it up?

No pattern, I just tried it on several times while going, to assure it would fit. Actually I can’t even crochet properly, not speaking of reading pattern or something. I just don’t understand all the symbols and what to do with it. :)
