I had lots of left-over red cotton, so I thought I’d make a trial dress. I used the skirt half of the Heidi dress, which I love for the pockets! The top half is the pattern that has kindly been provided by Miasu. ‘Contour Bust Dress and tute’ .
The back closes with a centred zip (which i sewed in the wrong way round TWICE! and nearly threw a tantrum trying to remove!) and the I’ve just added the ribbon strap to stop it looking so plain.
Originally I planned to sew the Heidi dress, but after seeing other Burda members gorgeous creations I found the bodice of the dress to be too formal for me! It didn’t take long to stick these two patterns together but the bodice is abit strange on me!

haha i remember you commenting on one of my projects about the zipper incident – you poor thing! unpicking things has to be one of the most tedious jobs ever! But your dress is absolutely beautiful :D The colour is gorgeous and the shape is too. I really can’t get over how fantastic the red is!

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with this Crimson Trial! I’m sure there will be no bloodshed either! Love it! Oh, yeah, not bored either! Ichigogirl is so right, the color ‘makes’ this dress.
