I’ve loved this pattern for a really long time, so when I came across the perfect fabric in my op shop meanderings, I was so stoked! The size 10 fit perfectly without alterations. I made the View A skirt, with yellow piping in the waistband and pocket seams for a pop of happy colour. This is the first time I have ever worked with piping, and ended up making my own from an old bedsheet to get the right colour. It was much easier than I expected! Now, to pipe ALL the things.
The zip is a red metal invisible zip that is also from an op shop – I love metal zips, they are so durable and add interest to a garment. This pattern is really well written and I can see a few more of these skirts in my future!
Red floral medium weight cotton, yellow bedsheet for piping, red metal invisible zip, all from Salvo’s
Cotton/acrylic yarn for piping, from stash
