cream slip

A slip from the Burda 9/2013 slip-dress pattern. I like the bust shaping from the pleat detail, but wasn’t sure how to finish those seams on the inside. As I made mine from a knit, I topstitched and trimmed them, and also didn’t cut it on the bias. It hangs oddly, with a fold forming in the center, and the flared sides don’t hang well either; I would straighten them in any future version. But hey, it enabled me to wear summer dresses with tights this month!

Material Notes

synthetic knit lining fabric

I love these undergarments, very feminine and practical as well!

Thanks Mary! Yes, I noticed you line your dresses, and I think that’s the way to go, but I haven’t got to that yet!

I think the lining gives a more stream lined look and it holds in some of the lumps and bumps lol x
