I adapted the back if the skirt pattern by making a fold from the centre of the dart to the hem.
I then redrew the pattern with seam allowances and adding shaping in place of the dart.
I shorted the middle panel by the length I wanted for the pleated section.
I cut a strip of fabric and pressed pleats into it, to fit the section.
I then cut out the button band to fit over the top of this section
