Derby style hat. I used a vintage crazy quilt piece, and accented it with a Victorian jet bead applique, and vintage veiling. The pattern was from Lynn McMasters, for the riding derby; I changed it a little bit.

I don’t know! It is part of a museum collection of photos; I loved it because it is rare to see a woman dressed manishly from that time period….I imagine she was very progressive!
