This is my first shirt made completely without a pattern! The top band is faced with cream on the inside (and interfacing). It’s a little stiff and sometimes gaps, so I’ll have to work on that for next time. Then I have a 3 layered ruffle detail, flowered lightly gathered strip on top, iron pleated cream layer, then a gathered brown linen that I used for the band. The body of the shirt is gathered at the band in both front and back. I shirred the back in a band about 6 inches wide and five rows deep to give it a little definition and keep it from just being tent like. Blind hem on the bottom. Sleeves were just put on, ended to long so I folded them back in which gave them some body.
polyester blend, interfacing, elastic thread
