I whipped this up for my neice when she announced that she was taking a summer school course in Fashion Design. This was an quick afternoon project to get her feet wet and gain confidence using a sewing machine. (She was a first time sewer).
She made the apron and I made the coordinating tote. Let’s just say that both items were well used.

Thanks! I am so glad that you like it.
It is actually a fabric called “Pixie” in a lime colour. It is available in espresso and fuschia pink as well. I purchased it at www.Tonicliving.com. I believe that is is a Chris Stone fabric. It is a 15 oz. canvas. The coordinating solid green is a 10 oz. organic cotton canvas.
The interior is part of a remnant of some yellow & white calico that I had laying around my fabric trunk.

A well-coordinated outfit. ;) It’s good she wishes to learn and I hope she will continue to study. We need to encourage new folk to learn the craft. Cordially, Nehmah

Thanks so much! She actually did very well in her course. She made a reversible messenger bag, a doll and a dress in just barely 4 weeks. Excellent for a first-timer! I hope she sticks with this newly learned skill.
