I was inspired by Burda Fashion Magazine Nr 8/2009 to make this very simple elastic velvet skirt. It is only two identical pieces with seams in the sides and with an elastic waistband. You really don’t need a pattern. It quickly became my favourite!

Thanks for posting this and reminding me of that skirt. Such a great quick project, can be used in so many ways… I love the whole issue of the magazine, so much great stuff! Can’t wait for the next issue, they didn’t have it last I went to the store, but they should have it now, I think. Better take a look tomorrow, got to bring back the plus size mag, got it by accident!

I love that issue of Burda Fashion Magazine so it’s great to see what people are making from it.
The color blue was a good choice for your skirt and I like the photos. Good job!
