I used Burda 8135 to make this great jacket. It’s fully lined with bemberg ambiance and complete with slit pockets.

Like this jacket a lot. Am going to make myself a fur coat for the upcoming Burning Man, Metropolis. Love the pants too.

I made a fur coat that went to Burning Man! That one I hot glued the fur over the top of a zippered fleece jacket, worked really well. I have a photo somewhere of that….

super hot. Isn’t bemberg the best?

I think bemberg ambiance is the best. It’s rayon which makes it non-static yet silky and smooth and most importantly breathable. (polyester and nylon lining is like wearing a trash bag) Unlike other rayon fabrics it can be machine washed allowing you to make garments that don’t need to be dry cleaned. Dry cleaning is not my style. A good price for bemberg is around $5 a yard, this jacket took exactly 2 yards.

Wow, looks fantastic. I bet the faux fur was tricky to work with. :)

Very warm indeed! It’s still in the 80’s here in Alabama with about 90% humidity….. We’ll see how often I get a chance to wear this jacket… The pants are some RTW I picked up on clearance in San Francisco, the fabric is a stretch cotton. I need to take them in about an inch but haven’t got around to it.
