Bnei Brak, Israel
I made this costume for my son for Purim, the Jewish equivalent of the carnival or Halloween, celebrated around February/March.
I wanted a costume that is somewhat similar to normal clothes, so it would be comfy enough for a 3 years old who moves constantly. He loved it, and actually still wears it occasionally around the house.
The pattern was BWOF 1.2010.143/147 for the vest and the pants (the shirt is RTW), and it was great and fun to sew, though the directions for the waistband could have been clearer.
navy linen, plaid linen, imitation leather and suede
