Burdastyle top is used, but my own pencil skirt creation was attached to the bodice. The pattern had way too much fabric to gather, which made me poof out! Even after cutting off the sides, the swing dress wasn’t flattering. Not hot for a petite woman. The muslin/cotton styles would gather better than the wool I used – which is the material suggested for this style, ironically. After three different skirt attempts, I finally found one that would work. I probably won’t be making this dress again. But we will see.
Wool, silk organza as underlining, lining. (Hot pink!)
