Country-Side Shirt-Skirt

Added Jan 22, 2010

by benew

Vallejo, Califor...

Wrap around skirt from a man’s button-down t-shirt that I wanted to button down the back. It was supposed to be belted, but I couldn’t figure it out (pattern instructions a wee bit convoluted) so I just cut the belt I made in half, tied it into a bow and secured the bow to the back to give it a dainty look. I also attached the waistband differently than instructed.

Material Notes

Medium button-down shirt and remnant cotton mustard fabric for waistband

Garment Type
Bohemian, Casual, Classic, Mod, Romantic, Vintage

Really nice. I’d never thought it was man t-shirt. And you had smart idea with a bow. Good job:)

Thank you so much! Happening on that print in the thrift store was a miracle and it turned out better than I expected.
