This summer dress is, probably, the last one made this season although my planned list is far from completing:-)
It is my first try to sew Simplicity pattern. I have several issues of Diana Modern (Special issues, Russian edition) that public their patterns and found a nice coat in one of them so not to spoil my probable coat fabric, I wanted to get some trainig to see what changes the Simplicity patterns need to fit me. And was right with it: my dress’s back needed a lot of adjusting.
But in general I am glad with the result and experience. I liked the included seem allowance (good for arranging the details when cutting the fabric), many control marks and the very suggest to arrange the details was really helpful.
The pattern is Simplicity 6093 from Diana Modern #8/2012 ( the link to the site to see the model and modifications is mentioned )
The dress has different modifications and I liked the one made from plaid fabric – really very nice to combine cut by grain central and bias side parts. I recommend.
