I made this dress from a vintage pattern, and wore it a couple times but it just isn’t ‘me’. Maybe it is ‘you’? It’s 100% cotton and was made from a circa 1970 Simplicity pattern, sized ‘12’, which in patterns of that time/brand means about a 34-27-36. You don’t actually have to wear it with the tie-belt, it tapers in at the waist sufficiently to not look like a bag without it.
If I say it myself, I did a nice job on this, but turns out I am not the girl in the black-and-white gingham dress with the red buttons. I’m just not.
SO if you think you’d rock this frock, and have something sewing-related you wanna swap, you can join our flickr group!

Unfortunately I’m no-where near that size otherwise I’d snap it up. I love it! I made a dress in the 80’s that was kind of similar and I wish I wouldn’t have donated it to charity in the late 90’s. I hope this is the right fit for someone.
