oh, this dress. this poor dress. this dress has a story, if you’d like to hear its sad tale, it is here:
oonaballoona: the couch potato
and if you’d like to swap for it, it is here:
fairly heavy cotton.
burdastyle!
made it longer and omitted the straps.

I think it was a spectacular way to start of the great Burdastyle swap. I’d ‘a swapped it, ’cept I didn’t have anything half so pretty to trade.

really to sad! it look so gorgeous on you! (and not like a couch ;P!)

Well, this is a really sad story. I think the dress is beautiful, the fabric is super and it looks perfect on you. Was there no way to rescue it? Maybe reducing some fabric with making it a little shorter and reducing the pleats?

Admittedly I havnt had a chance to read the sad story to go with the dress, however, I do think it looks very stunning on you. I adore the colours and am a bit of a sucker for strapless dresses.

oh, but it’s taking up space! valuable space!!!! i don’t know, i think it just reminds me of the fact that i still haven’t made a dress for my friend (this was supposed to be a gift, but i couldn’t imagine her wearing it in the summer). > it is longer, and actually quite comfortable. it stays up without straps too, but that may be due to my, err, lack of breasts :)

but is so pretty!!! and you look so good!!! and you can wear it with a cardi on top, or a shrug or anything!! please wear it :P you made it longer right? the other ones i’ve seen are pretty short.

It’s a really pretty dress! the pattern and the accented pockets look good. Too bad it is uncomfortable. I’m curious. Does the Sabrina naturally stay up like that without the straps or what did you have to do?

Yes, that is a seemingly sad tale for such a lovely dress… I do like the accented pockets, though, and the print is quite pretty. Good luck with your swap :O)

Sounds like you don’t have much of a fondness for this dress :). Well it looks beautiful on you and like it fits great, and I don’t think it looks like a couch…I’m sure the heaviness of the fabric does make a difference though. Beautiful job anyway, hopefully someone who loves it will get it at your swap :).
