I made this petticoat to wear underneath my 50’s Betty Draper inspired dress and 50’s Charlotte dress. I wanted a vintage inspired pretty undergarment to wear with these dresses to add a little volume to the circle skirts. I thought about buying one but I could only find tulle ones (that would be too scratchy against my skin) that were either too short, too long or too puffy. I made it from a sheet I bought at a local department store. This Petticoat is my own design. It took about 3 hours to complete. I have uploaded instructions on how to make it.
Double cotton sheet and pretty cotton trim, white thread and elastic for waistband

I’ve just figured out how to add instructions so there’s a tab at the top of the page here too.

I can’t wait until you add a tutorial on this project. You have inspired me to work on something like this. I’ll be waiting for this to come up. Thanks again
