After I made my first Amy Butler Cosmo Bag, I began to get a lot of comments from readers asking for help. The instructions in the book are very confusing, so I made another bag and documented it, step-by-step. You can see the whole series on my blog here: http://www.schoolofmoxie.com/?s=cosmo+bag.
I used remnant cotton (old sheets and duvet sets) as well as some quilting cotton. I recommend following the instructions for choice of interfacing, fusible fleece, and other notions.
