Elmhurst, New Yo...
In my quest of suitable party and performance dresses I decided to make my own. As I don’t have a sewing machine here in US I decided to crochet my outfits.
I felt I need more than one so I came up with the idea of exchangeable bottoms, which are in same color scheme. 2 tops and 2 bottoms make 4 dresses.
I also decided to match it up with fitting jewelry and clutch bags with a decent length chains so I can dance with bag on me and yet have free hands.
These are materials I used…
8 50g balls of thread – “Cool Cotton” by Filatura Lanarota, 52% cotton, 48% acrylic
one pair of push up bra pads and metal circles
1 yd plastic bone (I would use metal bones next time)
50 metal rings for tying the corset
leather or fabric band
30 rings for attaching the bottom
2 mm crochet needle
thread: 9 balls of “Jewels” yearn by Karabella Yarns
6.50 mm crochet needle
30 rings to attach the bottom to the top
-1,5 balls of “Cool Cotton” by Filatura Lanarota yarn
-Lining in fitting color
-2 crochet bands, 1 leather band length of chain
-2 pieces of plastic bone in length of zipper
-various metal parts for closure of bag and attachemnt of chain
-Different size pliers
-2 mm crochet needle
