This is a shirtdress I made from a fine wale corduroy. I saw a denim shirtdress that I loved in the Boden catalog, so I made one kind of similar. I designed it in Garment Designer software, then took the side seams in quite a bit while sewing, because I’d added too much ease. It was my first experience making sleeve plackets, which turned out to be much for fun and much less scary than I expected. This is very comfortable to wear.

I used the tutorial from <http://www.timms.ca/kft/sew/sleevePlacket.html> to make the sleeve plackets.

I think you’ve done a great job! I ‘m learning how to sew and would like to get the level you’re at now. Any thips you can give me?
Many thanks. Evaline

I like the detail of the buttons on this dress, and it does look comfy to wear. This pattern looks like one you could have a lot of fun with.
