Description

My first Grainline Moss mini, in warm shades of coral/pink/orange. I really like the simple style of this skirt and the endless possibilities for customization.

The main fabric is Robert Kaufman Hampton Twill in “charm,” and the stripes along the hem are Kona cotton. I drafted a full lining in Bemberg rayon to prevent the skirt from sticking to my tights.

Handling the lining in the fly area was tricky. Check out my blog (http://wp.me/p216YU-R4) for more photos and details on how I did it. It was a head-scratcher! If you know a better way of handling this, I’d love to hear it!

Overall, I’m pleased with this skirt, even though it came out just a bit too small. It’s a much-needed addition to my winter wardrobe. :)

Material Notes

Shell: Robert Kaufman Hampton Twill in “charm” (from Hawthorne Threads)
Lining: Bemberg (Ambiance) rayon in “cerise” (from Vogue Fabrics)

Thanks so much! The stripes give the skirt just a bit of visual interest. I love to personalize my projects a bit.
