I made this version of Danielle out of coral chiffon lined with tricot. I raised the neckline and bound it with the chiffon instead of using a facing. I also pleated the bottom of the sleeves, instead of using elastic, and hemmed the pleats in place. I gathered under the bustline instead of using darts in the chiffon. I can’t wait for Easter now!!
Coral dhiffon print from JoAnn’s and light peach tricot lining.

Wow! I can usually spot Danielle from a mile away, but this one surprised me. You’ve made some very simple changes, but they make a world of difference in the overall look of the dress! I like it. I’m one who usually turns gathers into darts and not the other way around, but in this case the gathering is cute and it complements the look. I could see making a knit version of this for summer. Danielle is so comfortable to begin with!
