My dress is made from McCall’s pattern #5973. The opening of the kimono sleeves was way too big and showed several inches of my bra. I had to bring it up quite a bit, but it was an easy change. I also left the zipper off and just sewed the back up since I used a fabric that stretches.
My daughter’s dress is my own design made from the left over fabric after making my dress. I made it short sleeved for the summer and added the long sleeves on when the weather started to get cold. Next summer I’ll remove the long sleeves again and she should be able to get more wear out of it.
