Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I fell in love with this beautiful stencil and have so many different ideas for using it. I wanted to try it out quickly and found a heavenly olive metallic paint to use. I sewed up a simple knit tank just to give it a test drive. The stencil is inexpensive as well as the paint, less than $10 total. Click “stencil” in credits below to see the full instructions.

I’ve always got my eye out for pretty stencils. I find most at Michaels, Joann’s or my favorite stencil site online.

When I first saw this stencil it reminded me of a gorgeous dress I saw on I LOVE LUCY long ago. The dress was all white with a full skirt but at the waistline there was this same kind of leaf motif in black. It started a little below the bustline and ended a little below the waist. Maybe that’s my next project!
