A quick 2-piece dress which can be dressed up or down.
It needs a belt…very baggy otherwise!

Thank you, Ink. They’re getting a lot of wear right now…high summer in Australia.

Hi Mary, it’s an amazingly fabric-frugal dress, eh?

Hi Schnui! What fun to fabric shop in China! I was pleasantly surprised at how little fabric this dress takes …approx 1.5m? I think my versions will be cool as long as the humidity is reasonable! I’ve also worn them with a thin black 3/4 sleeve cotton top, with tights and boots….they work well for layering…an excellent travel item!! Give it a shot!

Thanks Ann. I have just on 2 metres, so I have plenty and I would love it to be a good travel dress as well. It is so hot here in Brisbane today that all I can think about is cool summer dresses, definitely no layering but a good idea when we reach April (that seems like forever today!!)

Ann, I love both dresses you have posted and you have got me thinking about some knit fabric that I bought in China recently. I didn’t buy enough and I can’t get back there, so this lovely pattern which I have overlooked so many times will be perfect. This floral knit dress looks gorgeous on you and because you think it is cool to wear, you have convinced me it is worth a go. I have made other garments from the August 2011 issue, but can’t really say this one struck me until I saw yours. I also enjoyed reading you blog, so count me as a follower. Thanks for the link to Burda Addicts which worked for me.
