At the beginning of the summer I picked up these high-waisted shorts from the Goodwill with the idea of converting them into skirts. I regret waiting so long. It’s SO simple and they turned out perfect…exactly how I had planned.

This is such a great idea! I made a skirt just like this when I was a student, broke as I don’t know what, it was summer and I owned neither a skirt or a pair of shorts (omg how different life was then!). My grandma had a pair of khaki pants destined for goodwill, I needed them more and made myself a skirt! Great that you’ve made a how-to, this kind of repurposing should be used much more often than it is. If you use pants, the bottom part of them can be turned into a matching bag :-)

Super Sweet Idea! I always love the print of those retro shorts but dont have the guts to rock them as shorts… but i love skirts and this is easy to make and comfy to wear <3
