I made this bag out of an old sail. It converts from a backpack to a messenger bag by threading the strap through hidden loops (I’m rather proud of this design). I haven’t put a closure on it yet because I can’t decide what kind of hardware to use….suggestions?
used sail cloth, sticky fabric, used webbing, hardware

Love all the bag!!! Very nice work! If this bag is mine, a should use those magnet closures… I’m sorry… I don’t know the word…

really sweet – I love everything about your bag. The lines, the color, the bird motif, the fact that it’s made out of a sail – holy lord – it’s perfect. PERFECT. I tried to make a convertible from scratch aswell – it ended up being to tall – so now it’s just a backpack. I like the straps on the outside pocket of mine and I think it could work for your’s too… check it out.

That is awesome! I love it. =D Perhaps a giant metal snap for the front, or a lobster claw clasp?
