My boyfriend was mad about Italian futurist clothes presented during an exhibition in Turin in 2011 for the 150th anniversary of Italian reunification. One day, he brought me a fabric looking like Russian constructivism fabric and told me: “with this, you would do a beautiful futurist waistcoat”. It was not the first time he bought me fabrics saying to me: “you should do me a waistcoat with that”, but I had to do a futurist clothes anyway and this fabric really fitted.
So I took a previous pattern (Mister has already had a waiscoat) and transformed it. I wanted to have no one perpendicular angle and just one part circular, and I wanted the collar to be a diagonal.
The “Russian” fabric is a upholstery, very heavy, perfect for this project. The back is made in an acetate fabric, the kind of fabric you use for lining.
Sweet dresses, an outfit for a doll, and cute embellishments are fun for the holidays!
