This skirt i made especially for my little sister on her confirmation day. originally you wear white, but she wanded to be a bit different… The black part of the dress/the tulle comes from my grand mother’s confirmationdress, which she wore in 1939. Originally it was a white dress, but because of the war and in the lac of money, she dyed it black for further use. As you’re might able to see, there’s a fine embroidered detail in the skirt. The pattern is homemade..

The way i learnt to sew was buy cutting up my granmas old clothes and making them into something else, what a great feeling when you have achieved it, YOU HAVE ACHIEVED IT. Keep going.

This is such a beautiful skirt! And so is the idea that a part of that skirt was worn by your grandmother so many years ago. great!
