A costume made to order for a friend , just to see if I could do it. Overall I’m quite pleased with it, but as always there are things I would do differently if Idid it again, It’s a Yuna songstress from the game final fantasy .I’m hoping to do more commisions in the future.
Silk bodice, satin ruffle and tiered skirt, organza sleeves and a pleated lace skirt attatched to a pair of shorts. The tail is made from hand dyed ribbon woven using six 1 and a half metre strips round a 2 metre strip of wadding attatched to a ponytail at the top with a hair extension at the base. The earring is shop bought glass beads and a wooden bead I painted with a silk thread tassle made from the deconstructed remanants of the bodice, although it’s supposed to be an earring I felt it was too heavy so I attatched it to a hair grip that came off the extension.
