This is a jacket which I made from Burda 8592 with a few adaptions. Firstly I adjusted the size and fit as I made it out of grey sweatshirting material rather than a woven fabric. I also left it unlined as it is a casual jacket. I adjusted the sleeves considerably to get a wide rather than fitted sleeve. The original pattern has the sleeves made from two peices I replaced this with one wider sleeve. I also made a wide belt to fasten the jacket with. There are no other fastenings. I had made the pattern before so I had some idea of fit. Initially this was made as another layer to wear while working or around home to keep me warm, but I really liked the finished result and it has had considerable use as a comfy, only slightly casual, outerwear piece on many occasions.
The credit line won’t allow me to include the pattern details so again this pattern is largely based on:
Grey cotton sweatshirting
