Description

I made this top using the famous Simplicity 4589 pattern. I know this pattern was very popular some years ago, but it is such a good flattering shape and easy to wear.

Material Notes

Chocolate jersey knit.

Thank you. This top looks great made with lighter fabrics such as light linens or cottons. For this top I used fairly good quality jersey knit, not too thin. This top (my first) isn’t perfect but I am going to make more. Also see Nikki Shell’s tops at http://nikkishell.typepad.com/nikkishell/2007/03/index.html – a real inspiration.

I’ve not come across this pattern yet, and I agree, it looks comfy and not at all dated. Right, going to try to find it online as I’d love a T this shape – I’ve got the fabric waiting… How heavy is the jersey you used? It looks quite chunky. Do you think this top would work with something more light weight? Congratulations on a great creation.
