These windsocks are the first of hopefully many made by our group at Heathlands. The project is new for 2012 and was designed by burda member art-owl. The project is intended to be fun while allowing the group to practice basic skills such as cutting, pinning, tacking and machine stitching. The rip stop type fabric allows for minimal fraying on raw edges. The “mouths” of the socks are wired and then strung using fishing line and then finished with a claw type keyring so the sock is easy to place and replace.
