This beautiful silky fabric with a little sheen is from my stash. The design is a dress with round pleated neckline at the front, back is V-shaped, extended shoulders. I cut the front on the straight grain of the fabric. It is completely lined with yellow taffeta fabric. Neckline and armholes edges are bias bind.
To add interest I cut the skirt section on the bias with the bold and black and with stripes running diagonal. The front and back have pleats, pockets and zipper enclosed at back.
I feel very awesome, bold, colorful and cheerful all at once in my design. :-)
