I liked this Burdastyle 5/2013 #116 pattern for a sundress. Then I found this fabric at my local JoAnn’s fabric store so I put the two together. What resulted was a simple, comfortable summer project. I did leave out the lace detail which I felt might’ve been too much for the colorful fabric. The drape of the skirt and the fitted bust is flattering without that maternity feeling which some empire waist patterns can leave you looking.I used a cotton blend which had a bit of a stretch to it which allowed me to pull it over my head. It worked out since, there was no zipper or fasteners involved with this dress.
