Description

I made this out of three sweaters I didn’t wear anymore. I think it came out OK but it’s not really my style. I was going for 1960s but I think it looks more 80s. the second pic is the before shot. More details in my blog: http://reverseclothing.blogspot.com/

What a fantastic way to recycle unwanted clothing! You did a wonderful job, and despite the fact that you don;t feel it’s your style, it looks fabulous on you!

It would seem this could work with t-shirts for a summery version of this dress. Great idea. Just love it!

Taking the ‘colour blocking’ trend literally! But seriously, it looks great. Very original. It would be a shame not to wear it.

Maybe so. It’s funny this is the project I have on here that has gotten the most attention and I don’t consider it my best work. So strange…

Thanks! The stiches actually aren’t a problem. My serger is in the shop so I didn’t use it to finish the seams. That may have made a difference. It is however a bit of a mess on the inside as a result.

Love it. Keeping it in mind next time I find a bunch of t-shirts that are in need of some renewal!

T-shirts would work better I think. Less bulky.

That is a sweet dress! Not crazy, not plain, a great balance of unique and off-road chic.

It is very time consuming work. But I’ve gotten such a great response I may make another.
