This project is based on the Square One-Piece dress from my favorite Japanese sewing book, “Easy, cute, Straight Stitch Sewing.” The fabric is Anna Maria Horner’s Hand Drawn Garden- Volumes.
The dress is really just one big square with short sleeves. The front is exactly the same as the back, with one pocket on each side. I made another version of this dress using a heavy linen – Circles on Square Dress.
All the projects are based on very simple geometric shapes, so even if you can’t read Japanese, the diagrams can be deciphered. The isbn # is 9784471400682 if anyone wants to try to find it online.
