This is a dress I made for a friend’s wedding. The wedding had a Pirate theme and I decided to go with a more lady-like colonial dress than the typical “wench” costume. I used Simplicity 2354
I used fabrics from Britex in San Francisco and Joann Fabrics. All three fabrics were purchased from the home decorating sections of the stores, one was embroidered and the others were embellished with pintucks. I’m not really sure what kinds of fabric they were, mainly they were intended to be used for curtains or upholstery.

Great choice of fabrics, I find upholstery/curtain fabrics usually wok best for this kind of costume. You did a beautiful job and I love the hat as well :-)
