Description

this is scuba material which I ordered online and when it arrived I was very pleased with how it looks and knew straight away that I wanted a simple dress that would show off the fabric. As we’re approaching winter I was thinking about putting sleeves in but changed my mind and went for the jacket instead because So I cut all the pieces but had to put it all aside for a week before continuing and when I carried on again, I coudn;t find the collar piece:-(( I can only imagine that somehow, whilst clearing up, it got thrown away with all the little bits of material that you’re left with after cutting out a pattern. Not enough fabric left to do another collar and I didn’t want to have one in another colour, so I had to improvise and am happy with he result.

thank you so much! the contrasting was actually a necessity because there wasn’t enough material to do the facing in the patterned fabric and I am glad you like it :-))

Wow chula this is fabulous, I am a big fan of matching dress and jackets. Very 50/60’s. This looks great on you and I do love the fabric. You did a smashing job on the jacket after losing the collar. It looks Fab with jeans as well.looking fabulous my dear x

thank you Mary. Can’t say that I am a big fan of matching dresses and jackets, but that’s only because I never thought of it before. Am very glad though I decided to do the jacket rather than put sleeves in the dress, because I like it with jeans as well and I will wear it a lot.
material from the usual place of course, they have it in a burgundy red now, which also looks nice. x
