My first time working with silk. I love the result!
The pattern is Decades of Style’s Collar Confection Blouse. There was a lot of hand stitching for the collar and sleeve facings. I tried to do a hand-rolled hem, but my inexperience fingers couldn’t manipulate the delicate slippery fabric, so I pressed the hem in then hand stitched it.

I LOVE this blouse. The lines, the flow, the look. This is the first time I have comented on anything. I think this is perfection, and well executed by yourself.

What a great compliment! Thank you so much. I love the drapey collar, too. It’s why I made the blouse. The fit turned out so well because I made a muslin first and found out that I needed to bring the front tucks up higher and re-shape the back darts. I’m so happy with it, I plan to make it again in a very different print.
