40s style fitted shirt dress. This dress was cut in a size 14 and is from Colette patterns. I took out the pleats on the back, lowered the bustline and took out alot of the volume of the skirt at the sides – mainly because I just didn’t have enough fabric but also because I didn’t need so much volume.
The instructions were very clear as with all Colette patterns and it was very easy to put together except for all the buttons and the buttonholes!!
Sorry about the pictures! My camera has issues focusing which is a real shame as you can’t see the pattern of the fabric very well.
The material is a vintage 1940’s find off eBay from about a year ago. I think it is a cotton blend. It was quite a thin and slippy material.
