Cameron Park, Ca...
I used McCalls pattern 6833. Not sure what I thought when I got myself into this project, the dress required underling, lining and tulle which makes it very structured. I’m pretty sure this dress could stand up by itself. You could leave out the underlining and tulle depending how much volume you want the skirt to have. The fit is perfect on this dress. I had a very limited selection when I set out to find lace in a gold or taupe color to match the dress fabric. All I could find was a cotton cream color lace at a small trim store. I used coffee to dye the lace and it turned out pretty well. If you make this dress and follow all the extra detail work be sure to bring your patience you’ll need it. Looking forward to spring so I can wear it.
