Finally! Success with the Coffee Date dress. One minor alteration was the ruffle, I changed it to 3 individual ruffles, which I added bias binding to so they would stand out from the busy pattern
Printed poplin, bias binding, invisible zip... plenty of thread (the zip just wouldn't play nice!)

Super-cute dress, the fabric is adorable & inspired use of the green edging!

Looks great! Would love to see it on. I am in the middle of making my first coffee date dress, and have also edged the ruffle with bias binding. Am hoping to have mine finished by the end of the week (would be alot sooner if I didn’t have to go to work!).

Very sweet! The contrasting bias helps the ruffle stand out – good idea.

Hot! Hot hot hot!!! Cherries are gorrrgeeous. When I was in America I tried on this amazing Marc Jacobs cherry top… but was bloody expensive so didn’t buy. Am still sad about it and this has reminded me of my sadness! But in a good way! hehe

Thanks so much! I only finished today, so there was noone to take a pic of it on (or help me measure the hem for that matter – its only overlocked at the moment). Will get a real life model pic on shortly!

Oh that fabric is totally to die for, how sweet?! And the green trim just finishes it off, great choice :) I bet it is even cuter on. I have some strawberry print cotton that I was thinking about making a blouse out off, I was a bit hesitant to use it even though I love it but you make me just want to do it now! Fruits are too cute xx
