I used Elaine’s ruffle and skirt pattern for this. I used the bodice (originally a ‘70s pattern) and sleeves from my “Coffee Date Blouse.” Invisible side zip, fully lined bodice.
I was wearing make-up so I didn’t crop my head out of the photos this time ;-)
Ridiculously fraying, practically heat-resistant, blue polyester, I think. It was awful - I will never voluntarily use this type of fabric again. This is why I'm glad I have a serger. Fortunately, it was only $3ish/yard on the clearance rack!! Poly lining, invisible zip
Elaine has inspired so many new things lately!! Zahra’s puff sleeve how-to

I love your version of the dress. I don’t like when puff sleeves are too puffy, and yours are just perfect! Also, the color suits you very well.

I am breathless! Dress, colour, puffy sleeves! I totally adore it… (Would not be an ocean between, I’d be there in a minute to steal it…)

Gorgeous. I was hesitant about the sleeveless-ness of the coffee date dress, but wow—what an amazing spin on it!

It may be cheap fabric, but the dress looks expensive. Beautifully done!
