This is actually my first ever garment. It was quite ambitious, as I had only been sewing for about a week when I tackled this. I forgot to add seam allowances so the bust was too small, but everything else fit well. Too bad the zipper was crooked… I put it away and didn’t think about it until last weekend when my best friend Liz wanted to see my sewing projects. Well, she loved it despite the crooked zipper and other imperfections. It fit her like a glove, so it is now hers.
Before I give it to her, I figured I should fix the zipper and hem it. The zipper is now (nearly) perfect, and the dress is ready to make its debut!
Cotton fabric from Ikea, polyester thread, invisible zipper.
