Description

This is my first draft and will make a more brighter colour for summer. Using the pattern I graded up to a plus size to make the coffee date dress, I took some more pattern paper and lengthened the bodice to make the dress bodice into a blouse. The darts have been removed and an elastic waist band (internally) added, to give a more floaty look rather than fitted like the dress. This was a quick and easy project it took me just one rainy weekend to complete it all, including pattern drafting and constructing the top. Overall I really love the coffee date dress lots you can create from it :D

Material Notes

£2.50 bit of black cotton fabric from the local fabric store bargain bin, ( about 1meter and a half).
Elastic used for the waist band instead of a fitted dart. I made my own finishing and stitched it on for the arm holes and neckline using additional left over fabric.

You’ve done a great job—I really like it as a blouse!

I like this as a blouse (and the ruffles are pretty).
