Burda Style For people who sew
Description
In a movie I had seen an actress with such a dress and I loved it immediately. The teacher of our sewing class made the pattern for me and I went out to buy silk… I got a soft and really nice black silk fabric with which the whole anger started ;) The fabric was extremely slippery and difficult to cut, sew, handle that I started to hate this project. When I was done I wasn’t sure about the result, but I wore it anyway and got a lot of compliments for it.
The pattern was easy but the fabric difficult to handle.

It looks great! I have wokred with a silk like that, such a pain! But the fabric is so gorgeous, your is fabulous! I bet it looked great on you :)

Thanks – I am glad hearing that others also had problems with that fabric. It looks great indeed, but I will probably never again use “slippery-silk”. ;)

Thank you – I think I’ve never been more relieved after I finished a project. During the process I even thought about throwing it away. This pattern is so much easier than the red dress you commented on too, but the fabric made the big difference.

I normally heave a sigh of relief when I manage to finish a difficult item as well.the sence of achievement in finishing.though is great. I still.have some.half finished items though that I gave up.on!! Theres always another day to finish them lol x
